Supports available for students, employees affected by Ukraine invasion

The college realizes that recent news of the Russian invasion of Ukraine may be upsetting for students and employees at Camosun.

Our thoughts are with students, faculty and staff who have close ties and connections to the Ukraine, and our hope is for a quick return of peace.听

We have all been through a lot over the past couple of years including the pandemic, recent climate-based disasters and growing civil and political tensions.

Support services are available for anyone who needs help, or just wants to talk to someone.

Students have two options for mental health supports.

  1. A free counselling service is available for students with sessions available via video, phone or in person at either the Lansdowne or Interurban campus. Appointments are available Monday to Friday and most students can be seen the day they call.
  2. is a virtual counselling service that provides 24/7 mental-health support to students via the downloadable Here2Talk app, over the phone, or through online chat sessions. The college also has counsellors who are trained to assist international students.
