Award description

First Unitarian Church of Victoria听is a welcoming community, energized by the diversity of beliefs, identity, and experience that each person brings. They encourage their听children鈥檚 curiosity听and nurture their open and loving nature.

This award has been established to recognize and honour Indigenous students who have overcome great obstacles to begin the process of achieving their dreams.

Criteria

You must:

  • be currently registered as a student at AV精品
  • have Indigenous (First Nations, M茅tis, Inuit, or Native American) ancestry
  • have a听GPA听of 2.5 or equivalent
  • submit a self-written letter outlining how you changed your life for the better and how you are going to use education to keep moving towards the better
  • submit a letter of reference from a community member or instructor attesting to your life changes and commitment to education
  • complete the application form

You will be asked to attend an awards ceremony. Financial need will be considered.

Application process

You can听apply for more than one award听using the听听for each application deadline date.

Please note: If the deadline occurs on a weekend, applications will be accepted until 4pm on the Monday.
