You鈥檝e chosen what you want to study and submitted your application. What happens after you鈥檝e applied? When might you be offered a seat in your program of choice?

Communication throughout the application process
As a domestic applicant, you can expect to receive all communications from Camosun Admissions by email. Emails will include your Camosun Student ID.
After you submit a complete application
A complete application includes a submitted application form, application fee payment, and any supporting documents required.
Once your application is complete, an Admissions Advisor will evaluate your application.
- Evaluation of your application is based on the official transcripts and any other supporting documentation that you have submitted
- High school applicants may be granted conditional admission to some programs and will be placed on the program list at the time of application 鈥 the admission requirements for the program must still be met, but at a later date
Application status
After evaluation, we will notify you about your application status within 2-4 weeks.
- If your status is Admissible, you have met the admission requirements for your program, but have not yet received an Offer of Admission
- If your status is Conditionally Admissible, you have been admitted into a program but are required to successfully meet specified criteria (e.g. waiting on final high school grades or enrolled in Camosun upgrading courses)
- If your status is Decision Pending, you have submitted all required documentation for a competitive entry program and your application is now under review and will be ranked based on defined criteria
- If your status is Not Admissible, you have not met the admission requirements for your program. You may be invited to start academic upgrading with Camosun. Check out the options under How to Apply Step 4 - Meet program admission requirements
Offers of Admission
Admission is granted on a first-qualified, first-served basis, except for competitive entry programs.
- Once you are deemed to be admissible, or conditionally admissible, for your program, we will notify you of this status
- If there is a long time between the date you become admissible and your Offer of Admission, we will keep in touch via email
- Please let us know if you change your mind about your program or need to update your contact information
- If a seat is available for your selected intake, you will receive an Offer of Admission (program invitation) by email
- For most limited enrolment programs starting in September, Offers of Admission will begin in February of each year and will continue until the program is聽considered full
- For most open enrolment programs starting in September, Offers of Admission will begin in April and continue until applications close
- To accept your Offer of Admission, you will need to pay a non-refundable Registration Deposit by the deadline provided
- The non-refundable deposit applies to the total tuition & fees payable for that academic term with the balance of fees payable according to published fee deadlines
- If after accepting your offer you decide it is not the right time for you to start school, you may submit an prior to the tuition and fee payment deadline
Waitlisting
Limited enrolment and competitive entry programs have a defined limit on the number of seats available in the program.聽When there are more admissible applicants than seats, a waitlist is typically created.
If a seat is not available for your selected intake and you do not receive an Offer of Admission within the academic year that you selected, you will need to re-apply. We will contact you with further information about program availability. Interested applicants may want to contact聽Admissions聽about alternative program choices.聽
