Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) - volunteers needed!

Gaining practical tax experience and helping fellow students. Volunteer with the CVITP that will be occurring at Camosun in April 2025.�� A volunteer with the CVITP prepares income tax and benefit returns for eligible individuals who have a modest income and simple tax situation.

KPMG GVA Spring 2025 Talent Pool

As we gear up for our fall CPA recruitment season, we're on the lookout for undergraduate students and recent graduates who are eager to pursue a CPA designation.�� We may have summer internship, co-op, and full-time opportunities available with start dates ranging from Fall 2025 to Fall 2026.�� Join our talent pool and be among the first to know about KPMG recruiting events and when student CPA jobs are posted.

Are you a post-secondary student interested in becoming a CPA after you graduate?�� This session will cover the CPA program in detail and include an open Q&A with CPABC's Student Recruitment Officer.�� This session will be tailored to post-secondary students interested in becoming a CPA, and is open to students from any university or college program.

March 10, 12-1pm��

In a hybrid era, how do we navigate virtual and in-person interviews? Our expert panelists will share best practices for different stages of the interview process, the qualitative and quantitative skills hiring managers are looking for, and much more.�� Join us virtually, as you do not want to miss this event.

March 25, 12-1pm

In one hour, learn about Public Practice Recruit for current post-secondary students.�� If you're interested in pursuing employment opportunities with public practice firms in BC, attend this session to learn how students are recruited in the spring of 2025, for full-time, summer, and co-op positions starting in 2026.

March 26, 5:30-7pm

Learn how to transfer your international education and accounting/finance work experience to obtain the CPA designation.�� Get to know the admission requirements of the CPA program, BC's economic outlook, and available employment resources.�� We'll also hear from special guest , a Canadian charity that offers low-interest microloans for skilled newcomers who need financial support to pay for the cost of licensing and credentials.

KPMG Talent Boost Tuesdays

To help you feel empowered throughout your recruitment journey, we are excited to bring back Talent Boost Tuesdays.�� This is a mini-series of virtual events and each will feature speakers who will present on different topics to help you navigate the recruiting season and set yourself apart.

• CPAEF bursaries and scholarships
  Every year CPAEF offers a bursary program to BC students based on financial need with two deadlines to apply each year: May 15 and November 15. Scholarships are also available to students attending one of eleven BC post-secondary institutions that do not have named awards: applications are due May 1.
